THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (OCT 13-18) • In Mustang Tennis - Ayden Batchelor advanced in the individual singles tournament by defeating Southmont’s Dean McGaughey Tuesday at Crawfordsville. On Wednesday, he faced Elias Grimm from the International School of Indiana. Ayden played a good match but ultimately fell to Elias. Congratulations to Ayden on a great 2025 tennis season! • After Prom hosts a Hog Roast TONIGHT. Come out early and support After Prom and enjoy some great food. Tonight is also SENIOR NIGHT against the North Vermillion Falcons. Next Friday the Mustang football team travels to Parke Heritage for the final WRC and regular season game of the year. • The WRC Cross Country Championship was Tuesday at Covington. In the boys’ race - Alan Melchor placed 11th tonight with a PR of 18:19. Lucas Kirkpatrick finished 15th with a PR of 19:00. Andrew Froedge finished 24th with a PR of 20:28. Gage Harrison finished 27th with a PR of 21:53. Tonight was a big win for this boys’ team. They went 4 for 4 for PR's. On the girls’ side - FC girls had a great night finishing four for four with PR's. Hayley Kler placed 12th with a PR of 23:13. Lilly Newlin placed 13th with a PR of 23:48. Katelynn Holt finished 24th with a PR of 27:22. Sophie Smith finished with a PR of 28:58 and 27th place. Great job ladies! • Mustang Volleyball faces Covington in the sectional Thursday at 7:30 @ Covington. Both the JV & Varsity ended their season with wins on the road at the Indiana School for the Deaf. • The boys and girls basketball teams will host fundraisers on Saturday (10/11). o Mustang Boys Basketball hosts their annual golf scramble at Rivercrest on Saturday, Oct 11, with a 12pm shotgun start. o The Lady Mustang Basketball Program hosts their annual Daddy/Daughter Dance at the elementary gym Saturday evening. • Our FC FFA will compete in the Livestock Skill-a-thon Contest at the Boone County Fairgrounds on Saturday as well. • Next week is Fall Break – we are out of school on Thursday and Friday.
