THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (OCT 6-11) • The Mustang Tennis team ended their season Tuesday with a tough 2-3 loss to Covington. Ayden Batchelor (#1 Singles) and Eli Sowder (#3 Singles) earned wins for the Mustangs. As the #1 Singles, Batchelor advances in the state tournament as an Individual. The Mustangs improved greatly over the course of the season and played their best tennis at the sectional. Great job coaches and athletes! • Next Friday is SENIOR NIGHT as the Mustang Football Team hosts North Vermillion. After Prom is also sponsoring a Hog Roast as a fundraiser for After Prom. Come out 5-7pm for pulled BBQ sandwiches and nachos and help support a worthy cause. • The WRC Cross Country Championship is Tuesday at Covington. Good luck to our runners as they compete for a chance at earning All-WRC honors! • Mustang Volleyball will be celebrating their senior night next Tuesday against Riverton Parke. We will start at 5:30 with 2 sets of C-team, followed by JV & Varsity. The team will also celebrate their seniors in the cafeteria after the match. • 7th & 8th grade volleyball conclude their seasons Saturday with a tournament at Covington. The jr high girls will compete against Covington, South Vermillion, and North Vermillion, starting at 9 am. Good luck ladies! • The boys and girls basketball teams will host fundraisers on Saturday. o Mustang Boys Basketball hosts their annual golf scramble at Rivercrest on Saturday, Oct 11, with a 12pm shotgun start. o The Lady Mustang Basketball Program hosts their annual Daddy/Daughter Dance at the elementary gym Saturday evening. • Our FC FFA will compete in the Livestock Skill-a-thon Contest at the Boone County Fairgrounds on Saturday as well. • Wednesday, Oct 8, is an E-Learning day for parent/teacher conferences.
