THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (SEPT 22-27) • The volleyball team defeated Traders Point 3-0 on Monday (25-14, 25-13, 25-10). They followed that up with a 3-0 win at Attica on Tuesday. On Thursday, they dropped a close match to Covington at home, and they travel to the Traders Point Tournament on Saturday. • Boys Tennis traveled to the Seeger on Monday. The Mustangs fell 2-3, but Ayden Batchelor and Hayden Hargrave earned wins at #1 & #3 singles. After dropping a match to Parke Heritage on Tuesday, the Mustangs rebounded with a 4-1 victory at Attica on Thursday, as they prepare for the WRC tournament on Sept 27. • Girls Golf - A three-way match against North Montgomery and Tri-West ended the Mustang's regular season play on Monday. Bella Bacon recorded a 54. Rya Jackson 57 with two pars on the night. Lilly Gregory scored 67. FC will play in the Sectional on Saturday morning at Harrison Hills with a chance for individuals to advance. Good Luck Lady Mustangs! • FC Jr High Girls XC won the Bi-County Meet Tuesday @ Covington. Great job Coach Fruits and runners! • In the HS Cross Country Bi-County Meet @ Covington, Lilly Newlin and Hayley Kler earned All Bi-County honors, while Alan Melchor & Lucas Kirkpatrick brought home All Bi-County medals in the boys’ race. • Friday, Sept 26, we will recognize the youth football league at halftime of the game against Seeger. • Congratulations to Fountain Central coaches and athletes – we received the IHSAA Sportsmanship Banner at the Area Principals’ Meeting at Brownsburg High School on Sept 11. Fountain Central’s Salute to Veterans Charles Forrest American Legion Auxiliary Unit #288 in cooperation with the Fountain Central Athletic Department, is hosting “A Salute to Veterans Night”, at the Fountain Central football field. The Mustangs host the Seeger Patriots that night. All current military and veterans may sign in at the main entrance and receive recognition and free admission for the night. Please join us in a community celebration of our military and veterans on: Friday, September 26, 2025 Sign in at the main entrance by 6:35pm. Recognition begins at 6:40pm.
