Fountain Central Jr/Sr High School

The Mustangs traveled to Frontier for a match up against the Falcons. The first set was point for point but the Mustangs ended up falling 26-28. They came up short in the second and third set going 16-25 and 18-25. Aubrey Ashwill had 5 kills and 3 blocks. Chloe Ayers recorded 16 assists and 4 aces. Makayla Carnahan had 4 kills and 2 blocks. Mallory Massey ended with 13 digs and Savannah Bowers had 3 kills and 2 aces. The Mustangs are back in action on Tuesday at home. The JV team took a tough loss to the Falcons but it certainly wasn't for lack of effort. They won the first set 25-20, but then dropped the second set 30-32. The Mustangs never really got into a good rhythm in the third and lost 8-15. Riley Deel ended with 6 kills, 1 block, and an ace. Kynleigh Elkins recorded 16 assists, 4 kills, and an ace. Katelyn DePugh ended with 15 digs.
