Fountain Central Jr/Sr High School

The Mustangs battled hard against the Mounties but fell in four sets, 18-25, 25-20, 12-25, 20-25. Aubrey Ashwill led the Mustangs with 8 kills, followed by Savannah Bowers with 7 kills. Citrus Wesley served up 4 aces, while Mallory Massey anchored the defense with 18 digs. Ayers and White each added 10 digs. Despite the loss, the Mustangs never gave up and continued to compete with heart and determination from the first serve to the final point. Their fight and resilience were evident throughout the match as they continued to battle together as a team. The JV team won their match against the Mounties after dropping a close first set 22-25. They finished the night 25-20 and 15-3. Leading the way for the Mustangs was Ella Grubbs with 6 kills. Kynleigh Elkins had some great setter dumps earning her 4 kills. Katelyn DePugh and Solange Herrera-Gil dominated the back row with their impressive digs. Great teamwork and encouragement from all players led to the Mustang win.
