THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (May 18-23) • IHSAA Baseball Sectional pairings are below. FC travels to Riverton Parke for our sectional and will face Faith Christian in Game 2 of the sectional: • Wed, May 27  5pm – North Vermillion vs Attica  7:30pm – Fountain Central vs Faith Christian • Sat, May 30  12pm – NV/Attica vs Fountain Central/Faith Christian  2:30pm – Riverton Parke vs Covington • Mon, June 1  6:30pm – Sectional Championship • IHSAA Softball Sectional pairings are below. FC travels to Riverton Parke for our sectional and will face Riverton Parke in Game 2 of the sectional: • Mon, May 25  11:00am – Attica vs Covington • Tues, May 26  5:00pm – Riverton Parke vs Fountain Central  7:30pm – North Vermillion vs Central Catholic • Thurs, May 28  5:00pm – Faith Christian vs Attica/Covington winner  7:30pm – RP/FC winner vs NV/LCC winner • Fri, May 29  6:30pm – Sectional Championship • FC Track & Field will travel to LAFAYETTE JEFFERSON on Tuesday and Thursday (May 19, 21) for the track & field sectional. • The girls’ meet is Tuesday, and the boys’ meet is Thursday. The Lafayette Jefferson Athletic Department also hosts the track & field regional on May 26 (girls) and 28 (boys). Good luck to our Mustang Track & Field athletes. • Mustang Tennis has announced their summer camps and the dates of the McTagertt Invitational. See attachments for details. • Wednesday, May 20, is our last day of school for our students. Good luck on exams! Graduation is Friday, May 22, at 7pm in the Main Gym. Congratulations to our seniors. • IF the weather forces a BA/SB cancellation at Parke Heritage this Saturday, be on the lookout for an EventLink announcement about make-up dates, as they would likely be early next week. • The FC Spring Awards Banquet will be Monday, June 8, at 7pm, in the cafeteria. Spring athletes, please plan to attend. • A BIG THANK YOU goes to Principal Phil Shabi – Mr. Shabi is moving on to Harrison High School. He will be missed at FC. Mr. Shabi has been a huge supporter of FC Athletics as principal and his passion for celebrating the successes of our student athletes is greatly appreciated. As athletic director, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Mr. Shabi, and I wish him the best as a Harrison Raider.
