THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (MARCH 2-7) • William Armstrong had a great performance at the state finals in diving. Will finished FIFTH in the state on Saturday. What a great performance. Thank you to Jeff Stevens, Mary Frazee, Lucas Deel, Kameron Banes, Karli Hortin, and everyone who helped make sure the inaugural tourney was a success. • BOYS BASKETBALL SECTIONAL – FC hosts Sectional 53 this week on Dave Sanders Court. The tourney opens Tuesday night with Lafayette Central Catholic taking on Faith Christian at 7pm. Our Mustangs open sectional play Tuesday night at 6pm against North Vermillion. Riverton Parke vs Attica will follow that game, with the semi-finals on Friday night and finals on Saturday. • All-session tickets are $20, and single night tickets are $8. Season passes and WRC passes are not valid for the sectional. All session tickets can only be purchased online (service fee applies). Single session tickets will also be available for cash at the door. All sectional games are televised on IHSAAtv.org. • As the boys’ basketball team enters the sectional at 11-11, they are coming off a big road win at Western Boone, in which they entered the game as double-digit underdogs. The win marks the FOURTH time this season that the boys have entered the game as a double-digit underdog but have come out victorious. • The Mustang Band travels to Attica on Monday for the annual Bi-County band performance. The performance will be at 7pm.
