THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (FEB 9-14) • Friday night we got to honor our senior winter athletes before the Parke Heritage game. For seniors Noah Dodson, Laine Hester, & Nolan Acton, it was their last regular season game on Dave Sanders Court. These 3 have been instrumental in what has been a remarkable season so far, as the boys stand at 9-9 with 4 games remaining before we host the sectional at Fountain Central. Thank you seniors! • Our Lady Mustang Basketball team played a great game Saturday in the regional at Frankfort, but ultimately fell to North Miami 40-36. With no seniors this year, the goals next year will no doubt be lofty. Great job this season ladies! • FC’s Peyton Hocking finished 13th in the diving regional at Plainfield. Congratulations to Peyton on a great career in diving. • QUICK THINKING! At the swim meet Wednesday, an infant fell in to the pool, but luckily Coach Bry Gonzalez was there and was quick to jump in and grab the infant preventing anything terrible from happening. Way to go, Coach Gonzalez! • The 6th grade girls’ Bi-County Tourney that was originally scheduled for Feb 14, has been rescheduled to Saturday, Feb 28, at Covington.
