Our young lady Mustangs played a great game. The Mustangs went in at half time tied with the Athenians at 6 points a piece. Though it was a rocky start, our voracious defense kicked in with the help of Darla Pickett, Arizona Ratcliff, Adra Swenson, and Avery Austin. Hattie Deel led the way for the Mustangs with 14 points. Natalyn Wesley and Lillian Crowder each added a couple. The Mustangs were able to hold them to just 2 points in the second half. Their strong defensive efforts propelled them to a 20-8 victory over the Athenians.
