THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (JAN 19-24) • Congratulations to our ALL-WRC wrestlers – Ryder Ford, Alan Melchor, Dakoda Willoughby, & Colby Parrish-Poore. These 4 wrestlers earned all-conference honors Saturday at North Vermillion. The wrestlers travel to Bismarck-Henning Thursday as they prepare for the sectional on Jan 31 at Crawfordsville. • The Mustang Boys Basketball team earned 2 WRC wins last weekend against South Vermillion and Seeger. The Seeger game avenged an earlier season loss against the Patriots and improved the team’s record to 6-5 • The girls’ basketball team improved to 16-2 with a 67-15 win at Covington. The Lady Mustangs are currently #12 in 1A in the state in the ICGSA class rankings. They host Riverton Parke on Tuesday and Parke Heritage on Thursday in two important games for final WRC standings. The girls’ basketball sectional draw is Sunday, Jan 25. Details to watch the live stream can be found at IHSAA.org. • Mustang Swimming & Diving WRC is this week at Attica. Prelims are Thursday evening and finals begin Saturday morning at 9 am. • The winter semi-formal dance is Saturday, January 24.
