THIS WEEK IN MUSTANG SPORTS (JAN 5-10) • A cherished member of the Mustang Athletic Community passed away last week. Duane Woodrow has been at more Mustang events than likely anyone ever. He will be missed. There will be a visitation at Fountain Central on Dave Sanders Court for Mr. Woodrow on Sunday, Jan 11, from 2pm-5pm. Results are also available by creating a free account at USABracketing.com (user guide on IHSAA.org – sports – girls – wrestling – regional). • The Mustang boys’ basketball team won a 61-60 thriller Saturday afternoon against North Central Farmersburg. This Friday they travel to Clinton Prairie Friday night (1/9) and host North Putnam on Saturday. • The girls’ basketball team improved to 14-2 with a 62-31 win at Western Boone. The Lady Mustangs are currently #12 in 1A in the state in the ICGSA class rankings. They host Attica in a make-up game Saturday morning at 10 and will travel to Covington for another WRC game on Monday. Next Wednesday’s game vs South Newton will be JV only. • HOMECOMING IS FRIDAY, JAN 16. The boys’ basketball team will host South Vermillion Friday night for the Homecoming basketball game. • Mustang Swimming & Diving travels to the Delphi Invitational Saturday and will swim at Lafayette Jeff next Thursday. • The boys’ wrestling team travels to North Central (Indianapolis) on Saturday and will travel to South Vermillion for the WRC Boys’ Wrestling Tournament Sat, Jan 17.
