After the JV led the entire game for a 41-35 win (their 2nd in a row), the varsity was in a back-and-forth game with the Thunderbirds. After getting down 7-0 early, the Mustangs fought back for a 61-60 win. Ayden Batchelor made 8 3-pointers for 24 points, while Eli Foxworthy hit 6 threes and ended up with 31 points and the Fountain Trust Player of the Game. Foxworthy hit 2 free throws for the lead with under 30-seconds to play and the Mustangs came up with a big defensive stop to seal the victory. • At halftime of the boys’ varsity game, Fountain Trust also presented the Player of the Game Award to Citrus Wesley for her performance in the championship game of the Bi-County Holiday Tournament, in which the Lady Mustangs defeated Covington 55-15 for their 3rd consecutive Bi-County Championship. • The girls’ basketball game vs Attica has been re-scheduled to Saturday, Jan 10.
