FC GBB 25-26 JV fought hard in a competitive away game against West Lafayette but came up short in a 15-7 contest, bringing their season record to 1-1. Despite the challenging result, the team showed determination and resilience throughout both halves of play. The game got off to an exciting start with the FC JV demonstrating excellent composure early on. After WL opened with a three-pointer, Cassandra Wildman (#33) stepped up big at the free throw line, sinking four consecutive free throws to not only tie the game at 3-3 but actually give her team a 4-3 lead. Makayla Carnahan (#12) added another free throw to extend the advantage to 5-3, giving FC JV a solid 5-3 halftime lead. The second half proved more challenging as West Lafayette made adjustments and went on a strong 8-0 scoring run that shifted momentum in their favor, taking an 11-5 lead. However, FC GBB 25-26 JV didn't give up, with Carnahan breaking through with a clutch two-point field goal to cut into the deficit. Wildman led the team's scoring effort with 4 points, going 4-of-6 from the free throw line, while Carnahan contributed 3 points on efficient 1-of-2 field goal shooting and added a free throw. The team can build on the positive energy and execution they showed in the first half as they continue their season.
