The Mustangs faced an early 6–0 deficit but battled back, tying the game in the fifth inning with a surge of timely hits. After Attica regained a 9–8 lead in the sixth, Fountain Central delivered one final rally in the seventh. Adams provided the game-winning hit, a two-run single that completed the comeback and sent the Mustangs into celebration. Davis was outstanding in relief, striking out five over three and one-third innings, while Clark and Batchelor each added two hits and the team drew 11 walks. With the victory, Fountain Central advances to the sectional championship and will play on Monday, June 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Riverton Parke.
