Fountain Central Baseball Varsity vs North Vermillion (12 - 1) Win Fountain Central Varsity Mustangs beat North Vermillion 12–1 on Saturday. They jumped out early with two runs in the first inning, highlighted by Davis’s double and a wild pitch. A five-run second inning, fueled by Acton’s three-RBI double, extended the lead. The Mustangs added another five runs in the fourth behind key hits from Clark, Adams, Davis, and Batchelor. Batchelor earned the win, pitching five strong innings with nine strikeouts and allowing just one unearned run. Fountain Central controlled the game with aggressive baserunning (nine stolen bases), patience at the plate (seven walks), and solid defense, while Acton led with three RBIs and Davis added two hits.
