FC Softball vs Frankfort (19 - 6) Win Jackie Weber hit two home runs and drove in five as Fountain Central defeated Frankfort Hot Dogs 19-6 on Monday. Weber homered in the second and third innings. FC won thanks in part to 10 runs in the second inning. Oliviah Jones doubled, scoring two runs, Patience Bixler singled, scoring one run, Kyra Kiger singled, scoring two runs, Braelynn Brooker singled, scoring one run, and Weber hit a grand slam to left field. The Mustangs jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jones homered to center field, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run. FC added six more runs in the top of the third inning on four hits. An error scored one run, Brooker singled, scoring one run, Kailey Daugherty homered to center field (Her first Home Run of her career), scoring three runs, and Weber hit a solo home run to left field. Lillian Bennett earned the win for the Mustangs. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Braelynn Kiger pitched three innings in relief for the Mustangs. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and six runs (two earned) while, striking out five and walking five. FC tallied 16 hits in the game. Brooker, Daugherty, Bixler, and Jones each collected multiple hits for the Mustangs. Bixler stole two bases. FC collected seven stolen bases for the game. Fountain Central will travel to conference foe Seeger for their next game on Tuesday.
