Fountain Central Jr/Sr High School

Fountain Central lost a heartbreaker to Rossville on Saturday 50-52. The Mustangs came out a little flat to start the game and gave Rossville a lot of 2nd chances baskets. Even though FC was getting beat on the boards they were only down 4 points after the first quarter. Both teams traded baskets in the 2nd quarter which led to the Hornets taking a 6 point lead into halftime, 24-30. In the second half the rebounding flipped as the Mustangs started to dominate the boards. Fountain Central was able to climb all the way back to tie the game at 50 with under a minute left. Rossville was able to get the ball back and with under 5 seconds left they ran a great play to get them the deciding basket. The Mustangs were lead in scoring by Eli Foxworthy with 21 followed by Ayden Batchelor with 16. The Mustangs play Attica at home on Tuesday.
