Fountain Central Jr/Sr High School

Fountain Central lost against North Putnam last night 38-45. The Mustangs started slow as they came across a North Putnam defense that they hadn't seen yet this season. The Cougars were able to hold the Mustangs to only 5 points in the first quarter. In the second quarter Fountain Central got use to the defense and was able to get some baskets to fall as the scored 17 points. Gavin McCollum and Noah Dodson were able to contribute a combined 11 points for the Mustangs in the second quarter. The Cougars were able to hang onto their lead at the half, but FC was able to cut the lead to 1. The second half was tight throughout as the lead changed hands and both teams were never able to get the lead back to double digits. Unfortunately North Putnam was able grab the lead late and never looked back. The Mustangs are back in action at Riverton Parke on Tuesday.
