The Mustangs competed in the South Vermillion Tournament and opened the day with a 42–22 win over the host Wildcats. It was a physical, hard-fought game, but strong guard play and steady leadership helped control the tempo. The team’s defense set the tone early and created scoring opportunities throughout the game. In the championship matchup against North Vermillion, the Mustangs jumped out to a strong first-half lead, 24–11. After North Vermillion opened the second half with a quick run, the Mustangs responded with composure and took over in the fourth quarter, outscoring their opponent 14–5. Great defense, unselfish passing, and scoring from eight different players highlighted an impressive team effort on the day. The Mustangs play at home against Seeger on Monday.
