Fountain Central Jr/Sr High School

The Mustangs made the trip to Clinton Prairie tonight to take on the Gophers. The first quarter of the game was a back and forth affair as both teams traded the lead. The Mustangs were able to still keep the game close as halftime appeared, but the Gophers Zone defense was starting to bother Fountain Central and the offense started to struggle. Clinton Prairie took the lead at the half with the score being Gophers 25, Mustangs 19. In the second half the Gophers Zone continued to give Fountain Central problems as they were only able to score 8 points while they gave up 16 to the Gophers. The final score was FC 27, CP 41. Fountain Central has a quick turnaround as they face the North Putnam Cougars at home tomorrow night.
