Fountain Central Jr/Sr High School

The Mustangs pulled off a nail-biting win beating North Central 61-60. Fountain Central got off to a very slow start in the first quarter, as the Thunderbirds scored the first 7 points of the game. Towards the end of the first quarter the Mustangs shooting got hot behind Eli Foxworthy and Ayden Batchelor. The great shooting continued for both of them as Batchelor ended with 8 three pointers and Foxworthy ended with 6 three pointers. The game went back and forth for the remainder of the game as both teams traded the lead. North Central had the ball down one with 11 seconds. The Mustangs forced a tough shot with 2 seconds left and were able to get the rebound to seal the win. The Mustangs were led in scoring by Eli Foxworthy with 31, followed by Ayden Batchelor with 24. Fountain Central will travel to Clinton Prairie on Friday.
