Fountain Central wins a tough game on the road tonight defeating the Clinton Central Bulldogs 46-35. The Lady Mustangs started out strong getting up early on the Bulldogs. They ended the first quarter up by 7. The Bulldogs bounced back in the 2nd quarter and closed in on the Mustang lead pulling within 4. The Mustangs managed to stay in front through some very difficult moments in the second half. They showed a lot of fight in the win tonight and answered everything the Bulldogs threw at them. Several Mustangs proved to be effective in the Mustang win tonight. Kendyl Nolan had 16 points in the win tonight. Aubrey Ashwill pulled down 5 rebounds and scored 8 points for the Mustangs. Citrus Wesley also contributed well scoring 8 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, and pulled in 2 steals. Henley Good scored 7 points, earned 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Bella Bacon also scored 7 points and pulled in 6 rebounds for the Mustangs. The Lady Mustangs will face the Faith Christian Eagles at home on Friday November 14th. Junior Varsity’s 2 quarters tip off is 6:00 PM with the varsity game to follow directly.
