Fountain Central Jr/Sr High School

Fountain Central Lady Mustangs finish the first week of regular season play 3-0. They defeated the Frankfort Hotdogs with a score of 55-10. Citrus Wesley had a strong defensive performance by harassing the point guard. She was able to assist her teammates a couple of times, pull down five rebounds. and grab a couple of steals. Cassandra Wildman pulled in 4 rebounds and had a steal. Henley Good led the way for the Mustangs scoring 20 points shooting 100% from the field and 80% from the free throw line. She also had 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists. Bella Bacon came out strong knocking down 3 three pointers and finishing the night with 13 points. She also pulled in 5 rebounds. Aubrey Ashwill had a strong showing again tonight she accumulated 10 points all in the second half. She also acquired 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Kendyl Nolan earned 8 points, pulled in 2 rebounds, and had three assists. Kynleigh Elkins and Makayla Carnahan round out the scoring for the Mustangs with each athlete finishing with 2 points. The Lady Mustangs are back on the road again as they travel to Clinton Central to face the Lady Bulldogs. Junior Varsity tip off will be at 6:00 pm with the Varsity game to follow.
