Lady Mustangs WIN first game of regular season 42-27. The Lady Mustangs overcame an early battle to win the first game of the regular season. They defeated West Lafayette by a score of 42-27. It was a group effort for the Lady Mustangs on both ends of the floor. The Mustang defense worked together forcing West Lafayette to turn the ball over 26 times. Kendyl Nolan was the leading scorer for the Mustang offense with 15 points. She also contributed on the defensive end grabbing 3 steals. Henley Good followed in scoring with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 8 steals, and 2 assists. Citrus Wesley was an additional spark for the Lady Mustangs. She went 8 for 10 from the free throw line and pulled in 4 rebounds. Aubrey Ashwill contributed 5 points and 6 rebounds. Bella Bacon rounded out the scoring with 3 points and she pulled in 8 rebounds. The Lady Mustangs are back in action for their home opener on November 6th as they take on the Clinton Prairie Gophers. The junior varsity will play 2 quarters of basketball, at 6:00 PM, varsity will play immediately following the junior varsity.
